Night of the Scorpio, Berkeley, Ca. 2022

This poster presents data I collected over the span of a week, documenting the relationship between the weather, time of day, emotion, and genre of music I choose to listen to. My choice of colors vary depending on the data set; starting with my emotion. I chose to represent each emotion through primary and secondary colors in the center of the data set since my feelings are core aspects of my life. The second data set that follows is the genre which is presented through more arbitrary choice of colors. Since genres have specific tempos and overall aesthetics, I translated each category to match with a specific color that I felt accurately represented the genre. The third data set that is I present visually is the weather which is colorized through more muted yet contrasted colors to juxtapose the previous data sets. Aside from my choice of colors, I divided each portion into seven sections for each day of the week and further divided those into eight sections to represent three hour segments of each day. Through my typographic choices of using Mr. Eaves and Abril Fatface, I was able to add contrast of line weight through using both a serif and san serif font
